the task now falls to our next mayor to uphold the standards that our mayor has set rgarding the budget . Surprisingly, the mayors biggest investment was not in raising the budget, but in fixing pipes! Many a pipe burst during his ten year term, but all were fixed and the town remains safe and happy.

Daily flow-Matthew fixes town,pipes
How ironic that our former mayor Matthew ,who was the founder of this town of Oakwater, would have to save the town from bankruptcy after just two terms. The population of Oakwater has somewhat come back now that our mayor has lowered taxes on commercial and residential occupation. The main opinion is that the mayor should run again when his term expires. The mayor has also created commercial and residential zones so that our town can support more residents and jobs.

Current News - CITY IN DEBT: Mayors Drive City to Ruin
How fitting that this town of Oakwater would start with nothing and come full circle in less than 10 years. Mayor Brian continued his predecessor's spending blitz by adding a new police department and expanding agricultural, residential, and commercial zones. Perhaps he believed slightly raising taxes and inviting the Army to build a military base and missile silo within city limits would make up the deficit. Instead Mayor Michael started his term 8 months later with $323 in city funds and a monthly budget one thousand dollars in the red.
Rising to the challenge, Mayor Michael promptly slashed spending and raised taxes. Mass transit employees immediately went on strike in retaliation. Maybe it was this action that sent him over the edge. Upon seeing a live high-speed chase on the local news, Mayor Michael commandeered a police car and began pursuit. Unfortunately, the Mayor drives cars and cities similarly. Fortunately, he hadn't cut the fire department's budget. Two fire trucks were dispatched and we have confirmed reports that the Mayor is steadily recovering in one of our local hospitals. Meanwhile, our next mayor is tasked with overcoming the $8,894 deficit the city has acquired over the course of Mayor Michael's 3 year term.

Daily Flow - MAYOR MISSING: Absent minded or just plain lazy?
We've looked under chairs, we've checked his Alaska timeshare, we've checked his private yacht, and there is no sign of our newly elected Mayor Brian. The average Sim is now thinking: Why was he elected again? Governor Palpatine is considering switching mayors to the runner up: Michael.

Election Results
The recent elections ended in a tie between Brian and Michael. The subsequent coin toss favored Brian, our new mayor! Congratulations!
Michael's Election Speech
When I am elected Mayor, I will increase Jobs in Oakwater and decrease the amount of pollution via replacing the coal plant with a lower pollution source of power. I will also build schools, police stations, parks, and increase income so the city will remain safe, happy and educated.
Brian's Election Speech
If I am elected mayor, I will add police stations, for traffic jams have happened quite often and also to be prepared for crime.
I shall also add more residential and raise taxes on the coal plant as well as adding more farm land and commercial.
Matthew's First Term
While faithfully serving you for 45 minutes in my first term as mayor five game years passed increasing our fine community of zero people up to 3,083! As I leave you in the hands of the next mayor, please note that the town's funds now stand at $24,570. I believe I met my goal while among you: establishing the town. I leave you now with a popularity rating of 50%.
I now intend to enjoy an Alaskan cruise. Fair well!
